Training & Consultation Programs
PACTT’s training and consultation program provides a practical approach that focuses on seeing the student as an individual first, not simply as a label or diagnosis. PACTT offers school and district training programs, as well as individual family consultations.
The idea of supporting as many people with Autism as possible in a practical individualistic way has been a goal of PACTT learning Center since our beginnings. The development of an outreach and consultation program for school districts, other agencies, and individual families is just one step toward that goal.
School and District Outreach Programs
- Staff training: Full- or half-day autism support strategies
- Individual behavior consultations for specific students
These full- or half-day trainings provide in-service opportunities for teachers and paraprofessionals on the strategies for supporting individuals with Autism in the community and in the educational setting.
In addition to providing in-service training in a large-group setting for districts, we also can provide individual behavioral consultation for specific students. Individualized classroom consultation includes: direct observation and review of previous interventions and behavioral strategies, development and recommendation of positive behavioral intervention strategies based on proven methodologies, and personnel training on approved strategies
Family Support
- In-home behavioral consultation
- Collaboration with school districts
PACTT's in-home consultation option provides direct consultation to families and caregivers as well as collaboration with school personnel to support and bridge the developed program between the two environments.
